Monach Meadows - the Alpine Larch were just starting to turn gold. Unlike most coniferous trees, these ones loose their needles every fall, just like leaves.
These are the oldest trees in North America, dating back over 2000 years. Although there are patches of these trees found in the Alberta Rockies, the only ones in BC are in Manning Park which is the Canadian extension of the North Cascade range. These Larch only exist over 2000m and Mt.Frosty, at around 2400m - is the highest peak in Manning.

Looking back at the summit... pretty over-exposed.... but you can see the ridgeline to the top.

Yoho
Kara and I spent a very extended weekend in Yoho near Field, BC. We hiked a bunch.... and managed to fit in an epic (mis)adventure as well as a visit with friends in Golden and a side trip to Lake Louise.
Takkakaw Falls - we camped right by the river at the base of these falls.... and had amazing weather every day.
Kicking Horse
Lake O'hara - getting here was easy.... our alternate trail down turned into a bit of work... but it was super fun nonetheless.
Moraine Lake - we had a nice rest day in the Lake and had breakfast at Laggan's and toured around...
This ones not very clear, but this was on our descent along Cataract Creek
